Annapolis Area Christian School

Honors Foreign Language Summer Project

Annapolis Area Christian School Upper School Campus at Severn Run is currently building phase three of its upper school campus, which includes an $11 million full service athletic complex and student center.

About Us

Since 1971, Annapolis Area Christian School has been partnering with parents in training scholar servants.  We are a coeducational, college preparatory, Christian school serving students from preschool to 12th grade from the Annapolis, MD, area and beyond.

Foreign Language, which is comprised of Spanish and French, is a major stress at AACS.  Students are required to take at least two years of a foreign language, though many students choose to study beyond the basic requirements.  Third year honors are available in both languages, and Honors French IV and AP Spanish are offered as fourth year options.

Because of the requirements needed to complete college entrance and Advanced Placement exams, the foreign language department at AACS offers a rigorous curriculum at every level.  Travel abroad opportunities are also offered and encouraged to enhance the student’s desire of learning.

Beyond the typical foreign language curriculum, AACS strives to teach a Biblical worldview in every aspect of learning.  With this in mind, students are encouraged to make the world their classroom and to combine all subject knowledge with spiritual growth developed and enhanced through service.

This Honors Foreign Language Summer Project is geared to engage students who wish to pursue language beyond the two-year requirement and help them achieve an appreciation and understanding of language and linguistics.
